Just wanted to share a new way that I am storing my Tim Holtz Distressed ink pads and how I store ideas that I have found on the net. This is also a File folder mini album that I found the directions for on youtube.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas Tag #4
I can not believe that I finished 5 of the 9 tags so far. That may not seem like much but these are my first tags ever. I am having a ball making them. I have to stop myself and make my Christmas cards. Once again I had to improvise because I did not have the supplies needed.
The snowman is a Sizzix die called "Snowman & Stocking". I did do the crackle paint (never used before). Added "Thickers" in white glitter for the 25. I also used a Sizzix die to cut the plastic snowflakes. The 2 small snowflakes are just a small EK punch. Added beads, ribbon, and a few buttons. Now to make a few more cards tomorrow and get them mailed out, then I can play again.

Christmas Cards #4
These are two more of my finished Christmas cards. I have had so much fun finding different types of cards to make. The first is a Criss Cross Card and the second is a regular fold card.
This is a regular card form. The image was colored with Copic Markers and accented with Stickles. The image was cut out with a Spellbinders die. The edges of the background was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. Ribbon was added to accent the card.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas Tag #5
Day 5 tag was fun even if I did not have all the items needed. I did have some package plastic and Alcohol Inks to use but did not have the stamps. So here is what I came up with.
To substitute the stamp pads I just used some printed scrapbook paper. I inked the plastic to get the marbled look. Did not use as dark as he did because my wording would not show through well. The inks used are the Adirondack Watermelon, Current and Citrus. I glued this to a tag that was covered with the scrapbooking paper. The wreath was made with a circle and a leaf punch by EK "Rock Fern". I showed how I did this in a previous post (http://margaret-ilovecrafting.blogspot.com/2011/11/door-wreath-card.html ). I used 3D foam squares to raise the wreath off the tag. I added a ribbon bow and rhinestones to accent the wreath.

Matchbook Mini Album
This was my first try at making a Matchbook Mini Album. I first saw this on youtubes Paper Phenomenon's - kathyorta's channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/kathyorta?feature=g-u#p/u/4/XiUsSx-gMEM . This is her cardstock version. It can also be made with paperbags. She is great and very easy to follow. Just wanted to show how mine turned out.
This is the outside with the belly band. The flower was cut from Tim Holtz's "Tattered Florals", and the leaves from Sizzix's "Leaves". Seed beads were used for the center of the flower.
Each pocket has an over sized tag that is also covered on both sides. This was a lot of fun to make and will be making more. I really want to try the paperbag one.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas Tag #3
This is my interpretation of day#3's tag. Once again I did not have a lot of the items needed to make it the way Tim did, but here is mine.
I did not have the stamp or the matching embossing folder. So what I did was using the Gypsy I made a tag the size I was using. Then made the lettering that were suppose to be embossed placed them inside the tag and fit for size. I next deleted the tag and cut the letters with the Cricut in the correct colors. I stamped the bottom words, then used the Xyron to apply the letters. Then misted the tag with Glimmer Mist (Iridescent Gold). The leaves were cut with the Cricut , a few Sizzix Dies and a punch. The edges were inked with Adirondack Caramel ink. Now to work on day #4.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas Tag #2
This is my 2nd tag for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas. I didn't have a lot of what he used so I improvised. I plan to make my tags using items that I already have. I have broke down and bought a few items like the fuzzy sticks and now some crackle paint but no big item.
I started out by cutting out the tag with the Tim Holtz Tag die. Covered it with scrapbooking paper. Inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distressed Ink -Tea Dye. I used a holly punch in the corner and applied 3 red homemade drops. The bottom was punched with a Tim Holtz border punch (Brackets) and painted red with Adirondack paint dabber (Red Pepper). Then after adhering it to the tag I applied 4 jeweled brads. The tag was then misted with Glimmer Mist (Iridescent Gold). The reindeer was cut using the Cuttlebug and the Sizzix die "Reindeer". Trimmed to fit the tag and applied 3D foam dots. The star was cut from Making Memories metal sheet using the Cricut, then embossed with a embossing folder. It was applied with Sew easy fancy floss (Ruby Slippers). The wreath was made using Fuzzy Sticks (Green).

Now off to finish my Christmas tree and try to figure out how to make the next tag.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas Day 1
This year I thought that I would join in with Tom Holtz with his 12 Days of Christmas Tags. I have never made tags before so this was fun. I had previously ordered the "Tag & Bookplate" die and was waiting for the "Tattered Pinecone" die to arrive. The tag die I bought to add tags to my mini albums (I like to make them with chipboard that thought it would work great. The pinecone die I bought because I thought it would be great for masculine items). This tag was a lot of fun to make.
I used my Cuttlebug to cut the die cuts with. I didn't have the embossed snow flake folder so I just punched some snow flakes the same color as the tag and glued them to make the raised effect. I did not have the "Noel" die so I used my Cricut to cut the grungeboard Noel from different cartridges and welded with my Gypsy. I ran it through the Xyron face down to apply the adhesive on the front, applied the glitter after tapping off the excess I placed it between some paper and ran it through the Cuttlebug to lock the glitter in (helps not to rub off so easily). I also don't have the "Tattered Banner" die so I just cut a strip of paper inked the edges and cut a "V" on each end.
This is a closeup of my pine cones, I think that they turned out nice. I followed Tim's video (very easy to follow).
