It's a Girl Thing

This is a card that I made this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. It was made using one of my new Magnolia stamps. She is called "Tilda Goes Shopping". The sentiment is from one of the $1.00 Inkadinkado stamps from JoAnns, that I thought fit with this stamp. I pulled out the deco edged scissors on the sentiment, and also used one in a rectangle shape larger than the image to mask the image and airbrushed around it. Rhinestones were added to all the dots on the punch.
The flower was cut using the Cricut with the Don Juan cartridge. The flower was made cutting the flower in 5 different sizes then curled around a small crochet hook. After I sprayed it with some homemade Glimmer Mist.
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda Goes Shopping
Inkadinkado
Punches: Martha Stewart - Optic Dot (border punch)
Cricut Cartridge: Don Juan ( flower)
Copic Markers: E00, 11,13, 25, 31, 35, 37, 47, 49
YR04, 09, 18
Atyou Spica Pens: Orange and Gold
Homemade Glimmer Mist: Gold
Rhinestones

Homemade Color Catcher

This is a very easy how to video on making a color catcher great for using with airbrushing and glimmer mist. It can be made in any size. Very portable and when it gets too messy just throw it away and make another.

Christmas Morning Magnolia Card

This is the new card that I made with one of my new Magnolia stamps. My DH just ordered 5 more of the Magnolia stamps for me. I really love this stamp I think it would make a nice card not just for Christmas.

This is card was made using the Magnolia Stamp: Christmas Morning Magnolia. It was colored in with Copic Markers: G21, 24, 28. Y11, 19. W1, 3. C1. E11, 13, 25, 29,47, 49. The image was punched out the the Nestabilities Classic Oval Lg and the scallop was cut with the Cricut using the Lacy Labels cartridge. The flowers were also cut with the Cricut and the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge, then airbrushed with the Copic ABS using Y13, 26. The border punches are by Martha Stewart: Arch Lattice and Doily Lace. It is also accented with ribbon and rhinestones.

This is a close up of my image. I am not Copic Certified but would love to take the class when/if it makes it close to our area. The closest one now is in Columbus, Ohio but it is during the week. I hope it makes it a little closer.

I entered this card is the Magnolia Stamp Lovers Ribbon Challenge at: http://magnoliastamplovers.blogspot.com/

Coloring Flowers with the Copic Markers

I recently purchased the Copic airbrushing system and have had a bunch of fun playing with it. I found that I now love to make my homemade Prima type flowers in white and coloring them with the Copic markers to match my images. I next want to play around with coloring background paper. I first purchased the starter set with the aircans, but very soon found that I needed a air compressor. I need to practice so the cans do not last very long for me. I will still keep a can on hand in case I want to take it on the go. So have fun playing today.
