Easel Card

I have fallen in love with a new (to me) style card called the easel style. It is very easy to made but looks fantastic. This card was made using a digital image by Mo's Digital Pencil Shop called Fan's Cricket, and colored with my Copic Markers. I also used the Cricut Cartridge called Pagoda to do the fan and the word "Love".

This card is a 41/4 x 5 1/2 card. To make the easel cut a 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock in half to have a piece that is 4 1/4 x 11. Then score at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2.

Make the front of your card. Apply adhesive to the first scored section (2 3/4 x 4 1/4), then attach the bottom section of your card front to this section. The last thing you need to do is attach something to the bottom section where you want your open card to rest on. I also used pop dots to raise it up.

Hope you have as much fun making this card as I did.

New layout and card

This card is made using a digital stamp from Karens Doodles called Peek-a-boo. It comes in a boy and girl. I then colored it in with my Copic markers. When I saw this image I just fell in love with it. The two little hearts were made by first coloring paper with the matching Copic markers then using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Heart punch. It adds a 3D bubble cap over the punch. The corners were made with a punch.

While organizing my paper stacks, I found a layout on the back of one of the packs of cardstock and decided to give it a try. This is a layout I made for Valentine's Day using the Pagoda Cartridge that I bought from Michaels on clearance for $9.99. I also used the Calligraphy cartridge for the lettering. The words love & and were already welded, but I had to use my Gypsy to weld the word happiness. The border punch used is from Martha Stewart called Doily Lace.

My Mission Organization Part #2

This is how I organized my Clear, Cling, and Unmounted Rubber Stamps. I don't have that many stamps. So mine fit into these three drawers. I have them in the CD cases. In most of them I have them stored on the clear plastic that they came in. On others I have them stored on some cheap glossy photo paper (I heard that was a good thing to do). On the front of each case I have the images for what is in each case. The final drawer has the balance of my ink pads, stamp scrubber in a small baby wipes case, stamp cleanser, and other misc. stamping items.

I used my Cricut with the Gypsy to make dividers and labeled them according to content.

This drawer has a basket that holds my blocks.

Well now off to another section of my room.

My Valentine's Day Cards 2011

These are the cards that I made for my husband the sons. They are all made from digital images. I used my Copic markers to color them in. I used an assortment of paper and cardstock.
This one is made by Mo's Digital Pencil Shop called Shy Valentine's Lila.

This is a free one from Natascha's Blog, it did not have a name.

The last one is another free digi by Pixie Dust Studio called Catching Hearts.

My Mission Organization Part #1

This is a more detailed look at where I started with my room organization. I can see that this is going to be a long redo. I am watching and reading about many many other organization ideas and using some of them with some of my own. Please feel free to leave me any ideas that you may have. I would love to once a month share your ideas with others.

New Years Resolution 2011- Organizing my craftroom #1

I have already started my New Years Resolution and thought that I would share it with you. This year I plan on totally reorganizing my craft room. I took over a very very rarely used dining room. I will share with you as I go along. These are of the area behind my desk. It is a bay window area.

This picture is of a magnetic board I put on the side of my paper storage cubes. It holds an assortment of items. That I don't use very often but like to keep handy.

I purchased 2 more drawer cubes when they were on sale for this. So I put them together and added two more that I already had. I added other things I had on top. In one drawer cube I have most of my punches that I still use. The other drawer cube has ribbon, cutting tools and the bind-it-all wires. One of the end cubes have kits that rarely use and some two sided paper that are different colors on each side and my paper that I use with my Copic markers. The other end cube has paper packs and my gold and silver metallic paper. My 4X6 paper and my embossing plates and folders. I will go into more detail in later posts of each section.
